DAI / Fleming Fund Country Grant Pakistan
Government of Pakistan; Biobank Inventory Management System for NVL, NIH and NARC Reference Labs

Project Description
SysReforms pioneered Pakistan's inaugural automated laboratory management system, designed to store and oversee bacterial isolate data for future research and development. It is a highly secure database providing complete visibility of storage and other details of samples.
In collaboration with the Fleming Fund Country Grant, the National Institute of Health (NIH), the National Veterinary Laboratory, and the National Reference Lab for Poultry Diseases, SysReforms spearheaded the development of the Biorepository Inventory Management System (BIMS), replacing the paper-based methods the federal laboratories had traditionally relied on.
BIMS is a cloud-based application that lets biobanks store, track, and manage laboratory data in a structured manner. Lab workers can configure storage equipment with various specifications, layouts, capacities, and hierarchical sub-divisions, and a robust search and report generation engine supports ad-hoc queries and up-to-date inventory lists.
